As the violence against students at the Polytechnic University of Nicaragua (UPOLI) escalated, students were forced to seek refuge within the campus grounds. The students remained there as the Nicaraguan government refused to guarantee their safety.
With our trusted contact at the UPOLI campus we donated $600, all of which was used to purchase food, water, and nonperishable items. In addition, $40 of prepaid cellphone card balances were donated to ensure students would be able to stay in communication with their loved ones and the outside world.
To the rights are images of the supplies requested and provided to students along with receipts.
