May 25th, 2018 we sent a total of $265, all of which was used to purchase food, beans, and rice for students at the Autonomous University of Nicaragua.
Mothers of local Nicaraguans staged a sit in outside El Chipote prison awaiting news of their imprisoned children, many of who were protesting earlier in the week in the countries capital. Chavalos provided mothers with beverages.

June 10th, Chavalos donated nonperishable items and beverages to students entrenched at the Autonomous University of Nicaragua (UNAN). We also provided shoes to volunteer medics whose shoe soles had worn out.

Following violent attacks in Granada, Nicaragua in early June, Chavalos was able to provide tools to support the efforts of volunteer medics and civilian volunteers who aided injured residents.
